Details: Melissa oil is also known as Lemon balm, common balm or just balm. Botanically, Melissa is called as Melissa officinalis, which is a small green leafy perennial herb and belongs to the family of Lamiaceae. Melissa plant has small serrated hairy leaves and bears small white flower during springs. These flowers are extensively fragrant. Oil from Melissa is extracted from fresh flowering tops, leaves and stems of Melissa plant through steam distillation process. Melissa oil is pale yellow in color with sweet, fresh and citrus aroma. It has water like consistency. Sweet Melissa essential oil easily blends with basil, chamomile, rose, lavender, ylang ylang, geranium etc
